Eyewitnesses: Dozens of Israeli tanks penetrate the southern Gaza Strip
On Monday, Agence France-Presse quoted eyewitnesses as saying that dozens of Israeli tanks were penetrating the southern Gaza Strip.
The agency said that dozens of Israeli tanks, troop carriers, and military bulldozers entered the southern Gaza Strip in the town of Al-Qarara, north of the city of Khan Yunis.
It pointed out that dozens of tanks penetrated “two kilometers” into the town of Al-Qarara, while “tanks are present on both sides of Salah al-Din Road and completely blocking it,” which is the road linking the north and south of the Strip.
On Sunday/Monday night, Israeli forces intensified their air strikes and artillery shelling in the northern, central and southern Gaza Strip, while battles continued with Palestinian faction fighters in more than one axis.
In this context, the Al-Qassam Brigades announced on Monday that it had targeted 10 Israeli vehicles in the eastern Gaza axis, and its fighters killed Israeli soldiers in the Sheikh Radwan area.
