Director of World Health: We are shocked by the attack on the Indonesian hospital in Gaza
Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, expressed his shock at the Israeli attack on the Indonesian hospital in Gaza.
On his account on the “X” platform, Ghebreyesus confirmed their shock at the Israeli attack, which caused the death of 12, including critically ill patients, and the injury of dozens.
He said: "Health workers and civilians should never be exposed to such atrocities, especially while they are in the hospital."
In the latest developments, Israeli forces have besieged the Indonesian hospital since Monday morning, and bombed a number of its buildings. The Israeli army is besieging the Indonesian hospital following a similar policy that previously targeted the Shifa Medical Complex west of Gaza City and other hospitals in the northern and central Gaza Strip, with the aim of forcibly evacuating patients from these hospitals. The injured and displaced, according to media reports.
For 45 days, the Israeli army has been waging a devastating war on Gaza, leaving more than 13,000 dead, including more than 5,500 children and 3,500 women, in addition to more than 30,000 injured, 75 percent of whom are children and women, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
