Video clips broadcast by soldiers of the Israeli occupation army via social media platforms showed a state of disregard for the property of Lebanese citizens in the occupied border villages. One of the soldiers documented, through his account on the 'TikTok' platform, a group of elements playing football inside a living room in one of the homes recently occupied in southern Lebanon.
According to what appeared in the recording, the occupation forces transformed the private home into something resembling a military barracks, with war equipment piled up next to household furniture. The soldiers deliberately tossed the ball with their heads before shooting it into a basket placed in the middle of the room, amidst shouts of joy and applause after scoring what they considered a goal, in a scene that reflects the extent of ethical and legal violations.
The soldier attached the clip with a provocative comment in which he wrote 'Brazil in Lebanon,' which sparked a wide wave of anger among Lebanese who were forcibly displaced from their homes. These actions come at a time when the occupation prevents thousands of families from returning to their villages and inspecting their properties, which are subjected to systematic sabotage by the invading forces.
On the ground, sources reported that these practices coincide with repeated Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement recently reached. The occupation refuses, until this moment, to abide by the terms of the framework agreement signed between Beirut and Tel Aviv under American sponsorship, which threatens the collapse of the fragile calm in the region.
Both parties had signed an agreement on June 26 last year providing for a gradual Israeli withdrawal from the occupied Lebanese territories. The agreement stipulates that the first phase will begin from two pilot areas, but the absence of a clear timetable for a comprehensive withdrawal still constitutes a major obstacle to the implementation of understandings on the ground.
The Israeli occupation links the pace of its withdrawal to the Lebanese army imposing full security control over the border areas, in addition to disarming unofficial armed groups. These conditions are part of the pressures exerted by Tel Aviv to ensure new security arrangements in southern Lebanon after months of violent confrontations.
It is worth noting that the widespread Israeli aggression against Lebanon has continued since early March 2026, with Israeli forces penetrating distances exceeding 10 kilometers in some axes. Israel continues to occupy large areas of the South, some of which have been under military control for decades, and others were occupied during recent rounds of escalation.
