Political developments of a revolutionary nature, reflecting the cumulative shifts in the direction of what the Trump administration has sought and is working towards.
First: Agreements with the Gulf states, highlighting their regional role, especially with Saudi Arabia, which is moving towards greater political, economic, military, and security presence, power, and influence. The deal concluded between Washington and Riyadh is the largest historical and international arms deal, including a nuclear reactor, following the bilateral US-Gulf summit.
Second: Reducing the role of the Israeli colony in the Arab region, and preventing it from regional expansion projects as long as the conditions for security and normalization are available to it, and the American omission of the Netanyahu government’s participation, and its failure to inform it in advance of the agreements concluded with: Iran, the Houthis, Hamas, and with Türkiye regarding Syria, and this is due to the following reasons:
1- It has superior capabilities compared to the Americans, which enables it to deliver effective strikes to any party that thinks of confronting it.
2- Removing its opponents or enemies from the list of those capable of delivering painful blows to it, namely: Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Syrian Army.
3- Changing the course of Iranian interests from the Arab region in the west to the Central Asian region in the east, thus ending the state and causes of direct conflict between it and the colony.
Third: Agreement and understanding with Iran, shifting its position from one of American-Iranian hostility to one of friendship and understanding between them, distancing it from its tools and its support for the factions that were affiliated with it in the Arab region.
Fourth: A gradual solution to the Palestinian issue, starting with what was agreed upon between the American delegation and the Hamas delegation, and the approval of the colonial government, on what was agreed upon in Doha, which will be implemented within the next few days, and the establishment of a Palestinian Authority agreed upon by all relevant parties, especially Ramallah, Gaza and Tel Aviv, with Washington, and with prior Gulf approval, so that the Gaza Authority will be procedurally subordinate to the Ramallah Authority, and grant it full independent powers to administer the Gaza Strip.
The development of events is related to the outcomes after October 7, 2023, and its repercussions in Palestine, Lebanon, and Israel, the change of the Syrian regime on December 8, 2024, and the inter-Arab wars that have devastated Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Libya, Somalia, and Sudan, and are still ongoing.
It is also linked to Trump's success, as he seeks to impose his economic and trade policies in favor of the United States, freeze and halt wars, and reach understandings and common ground with Russia, China, and other countries around the world, all of which will have repercussions for our Arab region.
Jordan is distinguished by the fact that we possess three factors that impose stability and reassurance:
First, stable, balanced relations governed by common interests with the United States, Europe, and the Israeli colony, despite differences, disagreements, and priorities, and with neighboring Arab countries: Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Syria, Iraq, and Palestine.
Second, the stable security situation, based on the capabilities of the army and security services, is capable of protecting security and stability politically and criminally, both internally and on the shared borders with neighboring countries.
Third, relations are governed by the principle of Jordanian participation in decision-making institutions, and continuous efforts are being made to expand this as much as possible, through elections and multiple forms of proportional representation, injecting new blood into government institutions and official departments.
Significant developments will emerge on the political scene, with the beginning of a ceasefire in Gaza and the flow of aid to the afflicted and suffering Palestinian people.
