Israel's delegate to UN: Guterres has lost his moral compass, "You cannot remain Secretary-General, even for another minute."

On Monday, the Israeli representative to the United Nations, Gilad Erdan, attacked its Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, after he criticized the Israeli bombing of the Gaza Strip, considering that he had lost his moral compass.

Erdan said in a post on the X platform “It has been more than 30 days since children in southern Israel were deliberately slaughtered by Hamas, but you, Guterres, did not say anything about the child graveyard that happened in southern Israel,” he said, without providing any evidence for his claims.

He pointed out that any representative of the United Nations who makes a false and immoral comparison proves that he suffers from “moral rot,” as he put it.

Earlier Monday, the Secretary-General of the United Nations announced that the United Nations and its partners had launched a humanitarian aid appeal worth $1.2 billion for 2.7 million Palestinians.

Guterres added that Gaza has become a cemetery for children, with hundreds of girls and boys killed or injured every day, and expressed his deep concern about the clear violations of international law in Gaza.

This is not the first time that Guterres has been subjected to Israeli attack and criticism due to his position on the Gaza war.

On October 24, Israel called on Guterres to resign immediately, while its Foreign Minister Eli Cohen refused to meet with him, after statements in which he said that the Hamas attack did not come out of nowhere.

For the 31st day in a row, the Israeli army is waging a devastating war on the Gaza Strip, resulting in the death of more than 10,022 Palestinians, including 4,104 children and 2,641 women, and the injury of more than 25,000 others.
