Iranian Defense Minister: America will be harmed if it does not stop the war in Gaza
On Sunday, the Iranian Tasnim News Agency quoted Defense Minister Mohammad Reza Ashtiani as saying that the United States would be severely harmed if it did not implement a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
Ashtiani advised the Americans, saying that they must stop the war immediately, otherwise they would be exposed to severe harm, without adding further details.
Iran considers the United States militarily involved in the war on Gaza as a result of its unconditional support for Israel following the Al-Aqsa Flood operation on October 7th.
On October 24, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian revealed that Tehran had received two letters from Washington stating that it did not intend to expand the circle of war, and was calling on Tehran to exercise restraint.
Abdullahian said at the time that his country was not seeking to expand the cycle of war in the region, but that continuing to kill women and children would lead to the impatience of the resistance forces and the peoples of the region.
Iran denied its participation in Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that he saw no evidence that Iran was behind the attack launched by the Al-Qassam Brigades of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) on Israel, despite the existence of relations between Hamas and Tehran, as he put it.
