Arab Parliament officially requests Human Rights Council to investigate the Gaza war

The Arab Parliament submitted an official letter to the United Nations Human Rights Council to form an international investigation committee, to investigate “the war crime committed by Israel against defenseless civilians, including children, women and the elderly, with the backing and backing of major countries, and to hold them accountable for the genocidal war that is being practiced against them day and night.”

The Arab Parliament said that the number of victims since “the start of this bloody war has reached ten thousand, and more than thirty-two thousand wounded, in a full-fledged war crime and a crime against humanity that is criminalized and forbidden by international and humanitarian law and all human rights treaties, and a flagrant violation of the Geneva Conventions related to the treatment of civilians in times of war.” ".

The Arab Parliament added that what is happening in the occupied Palestinian territories, especially the Gaza Strip, is a genocidal war against civilians, including children, women and the elderly, “in blatant defiance of all international and humanitarian conventions, customs and laws.”

The Arab Parliament called on the international community and the Security Council to break their silence and assume their responsibilities, by applying the rules of international law and international legitimacy resolutions, holding Israel accountable, providing international protection to the defenseless Palestinian people, and putting pressure to stop the bloodshed.

The Arab Parliament renewed its support for the just struggle of the Palestinian people to restore their legitimate national rights, including their right to return and establish their independent state with the city of Jerusalem as its capital.
