Ramallah vigil calls on the United Nations to intervene for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza
Participants, in a protest organized today, Wednesday, in front of the United Nations in the city of Ramallah, demanded an immediate ceasefire and an end to the ethnic cleansing in the Gaza Strip.
Today, Wednesday, representatives of the national and Islamic forces, unions, federations, civil institutions, and popular activities delivered a letter to the United Nations Counselor, Bassem Al-Khalidi, to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, demanding immediate intervention to establish a ceasefire, stop the ethnic cleansing in Gaza, and open the crossings to bring in fuel, water, and food. And medical supplies, and the need for human rights institutions to bear their responsibilities towards the crimes of the occupation in Gaza.
The participants appreciated the recent statements of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in support of Palestinian rights, and the subsequent fierce attack on them from the occupation government.
The participants in the protest raised pictures of a number of dead who rose in the aggression, and chanted slogans affirming the right of citizens in the Gaza Strip to live in security and peace, and calling for national unity to confront the crimes of the occupation.
