An exchange of fire between Hezbollah and Israel
On Sunday, Hezbollah announced that it targeted military sites and forces belonging to the Israeli occupation army in the border areas of southern Lebanon, while the occupation announced that it attacked a group of fighters that targeted Israeli sites, and the occupation planes also bombed Hezbollah infrastructure.
Today, rocket shells were fired from southern Lebanon towards Israeli positions in the north of the country. The occupation army said that its air defenses intercepted two missiles, while a third fell in an open area. Israeli reports indicated that the two interception operations were carried out by the Patriot air defense battery.
On the other hand, Lebanese sources reported that the Israeli army bombed with artillery the outskirts of the towns of Al-Bustan, Marwahin, and Zibqin and the vicinity of the Labouneh area, south of Lebanon. The sources pointed out that two Israeli raids targeted the outskirts of the towns of Kafar Shuba and Shebaa in southern Lebanon.
For more than two weeks, the border areas in southern Lebanon have witnessed an almost daily exchange of fire and shelling between Israeli forces, Hezbollah, and Palestinian factions active in Lebanon, with the intensity of the confrontation escalating against the backdrop of the war launched by Israel against the besieged Gaza Strip, the intensification of air strikes and the destruction of entire neighborhoods on top of their residents. Which led to the death of thousands.
