Israeli prisoner Yochavid Lifshitz attacked the Israeli government because of its management of the prisoners’ file in the Gaza Strip, stressing, in return, that Al-Qassam Brigades fighters treated them “with the utmost friendliness, politeness and morals” throughout their captivity in the Gaza Strip.

The Al-Qassam Brigades released the captive Yochavid Lifshitz, yesterday evening, Monday, in coordination with the Egyptian authorities, and for humanitarian reasons, after the occupation refused to hand her over earlier.

Today, prisoner Yochavid Lifshitz spoke in a press conference about the conditions of her captivity, stressing that she and the rest of the prisoners received good treatment in the hands of the Qassam Brigades.

Yochavid Lifshitz said that upon their arrival in the hands of the Qassam Brigades, the fighters told them that they believed in the Qur’an and therefore they would not harm them. Then they were taken to the tunnels, and there they were entered into a large hall in which 25 people gathered. Then, after two hours, the prisoners were separated from each other.

Lifshitz confirmed that a doctor was with them all the time, while another doctor accompanied by a nurse came every two days to monitor their health condition and obtain the necessary medicines for their diseases, and if some medicines were not available, they would bring them alternative medicine, adding that they slept on beds, and ate from The same food the guards eat - bread, cheese, eggs and cucumbers - every day.

She continued: "It appeared that they were ready to receive the prisoners. Everything was ready and everyone's needs were met. They took care of every detail. They were cleaning and disinfecting the toilets. They were afraid of an epidemic outbreak."

Lifshitz indicated that an Israeli raid targeted a location close to where they were detained.

She accused the government, the army, and the Shin Bet of abandoning them and treating them like scapegoats.

It is noteworthy that the Al-Qassam Brigades confirmed earlier that the civilian prisoners in the Gaza Strip are not a bargaining chip, and that it considers them guests and will release them when the field opportunity is available to do so.
