Half million Israelis displaced from their homes since start Al-Aqsa flood
The Israeli occupation army announced that about half a million Israelis have been displaced from their homes since the attack carried out by the Al-Qassam Brigades, "Hamas," on October 7.
Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper quoted the occupation army spokesman for foreign media, Yonatan Conricus, as saying that these displaced people are residents who were evacuated from the southern region near the Gaza Strip, in addition to about 20 settlements near the border with Lebanon.
The head of the Israeli Hotels Association said yesterday, Monday, that half of Israeli hotel rooms are used to house families evacuated from communities near the Gaza Strip.
The Jerusalem Post newspaper quoted the association's CEO, Yael Daniel, as saying that Israel has 56,000 hotel rooms, and 28,000 rooms are being provided for evacuees, with the state footing the bill.
A parliamentary committee discussing compensation for residents affected by the war reported that another 27,000 people are expected to arrive from border towns near Lebanon.
