Israel arrests Palestinian artist Dalal Abu Amna

The Israeli occupation police arrested Palestinian artist Dalal Abu Amna, on Monday, because of a post she wrote on her Facebook page against the backdrop of the aggression against Gaza.

Abeer Bakr, the lawyer assigned to defend the artist Abu Amna, confirmed the news of the latter’s arrest, noting that the artist Abu Amna was arrested for investigation regarding a post on Facebook, which stated: “There is no victor but God,” next to which is the symbol of prayer and the flag of Palestine. It was published last Saturday, by the artist’s media team.

Lawyer Bakr indicated that the artist “is still subject to investigation, and at this moment no (official) decision has been taken to extend her detention,” but she stressed that “this is the intention of the police (to arrest her), even before they interrogate her.”

Bakr said that police officers arrived at the artist’s house with the intention of arresting her, explaining that police officers arrived at the artist’s house to arrest her, at a time when she was “filing complaints against incitement against her by settlers.”
