President Abbas orders relief convoys to be sent to Gaza Strip
Today, Sunday, President Mahmoud Abbas directed the Palestinian government and the relevant authorities to work immediately to provide the available capabilities to provide relief to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
President Abbas said: “Our people in Gaza are subjected to comprehensive aggression, attacks and killings by the Israeli occupation forces, which requires that we provide everything that will alleviate their suffering, whether at the governmental level, the private sector, or civil and charitable institutions, by running humanitarian relief convoys on an urgent basis” to alleviate their suffering.”
President Abbas stressed that Gaza will not remain alone in facing this aggression, like the rest of the occupied Palestinian territory.
He held the Israeli occupation government responsible for cutting off basic supplies to our people in the Gaza Strip, including water, electricity, and foodstuffs.
President Abbas called on the international community to intervene immediately and oblige the occupying authority to fulfill its responsibilities and legal obligations towards the occupied people, saying: “The international community must also bear its responsibilities towards providing immediate relief to our people who are suffering from the scourge of the Israeli siege and wars.”
