Palestine Premier calls on human rights institutions to stop settlers' "terrorism".
Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh called on international human rights institutions to intervene to stop the organized terrorism practiced by settler gangs, in partnership with Israeli occupation soldiers, against the people of the town of Huwwara, south of Nablus, and the execution of one of the village’s young men by settlers’ bullets.
In a statement, Shtayyeh condemned the arrest by the occupation authorities, this Friday afternoon, of the head of the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, Muayyad Shaaban, and one of the Commission’s cadres, during the weekly demonstration of the people of the villages of Deir Istiya and Beit Dajan to confront attempts to seize their lands.
Shtayyeh called on the occupation authorities to immediately release the detainees, calling for the intensification of popular resistance in all towns and villages where citizens’ lands are subject to robbery, seizure, and property destruction.
