Arrests in front of Netanyahu’s house, and Supreme Court considers the “immunization” law
On Thursday morning, Israeli police arrested several demonstrators, among dozens who demonstrated in front of the home of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in occupied Jerusalem.
The Israeli police claimed that the demonstrators violated public order during the demonstration in front of Netanyahu's house.
The demonstration was organized shortly before the start of the Israeli Supreme Court, its second session, to consider petitions submitted by several parties against the “immunization” law approved by the Knesset, with the aim of preventing harm to Netanyahu by imprisoning him under any charge by the Supreme Court itself.
11 judges will participate in the expanded session, including President Esther Hayut.
The court issued a conditional order, in which it ordered the Israeli government to prevent the law from being postponed until the next session of the Knesset.
