Palestinian Hamas Movement criticizes Erdogan's meeting with Netanyahu

On Wednesday evening, the Hamas movement criticized the meeting between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Hazem Qassem, spokesman for the Hamas movement, said in a press statement, “It is unfortunate that the head of an Islamic country received the prime minister of the occupation government, Netanyahu, at a time when the occupation was killing in Gaza, Jenin, and Jericho, and storming Al-Aqsa Mosque.”

He added: "Normalization encourages the occupation to escalate its aggression against our people and our sanctities." like he said.

Erdogan met with Netanyahu yesterday in New York on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly meetings.

They discussed strengthening various security, political and economic relations.
