The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said that the escalating Israeli occupation crimes, the latest of which was the martyrdom of 6 citizens and the wounding of dozens of people with varying injuries from yesterday evening until Wednesday morning, is an official Israeli response to calls to revive the peace process in the region.

In a press statement today, Wednesday, the Foreign Ministry condemned the crimes of the occupation in the Jenin camp, Gaza, and Aqabat Jabr in Jericho, stressing that the occupation deliberately turns the Palestinian land into something resembling a war zone, while holding the Palestinians responsible for the escalation to hide the extent of the violations committed daily against our people.

It added that Israel is trying to devote military solutions to dealing with the issue of our people, instead of political solutions that express our just and legitimate national rights, and to sabotage any international and regional efforts to achieve calm as a prelude to restoring the political horizon for resolving the conflict.

The Foreign Ministry indicated that the occupation’s incursions and attacks on our people are the broadest invitation to fuel the cycle of violence and explode the arena of conflict.

It called for an international stance to force the occupation to stop its escalation, noting that Israel's continued impunity encourages it to commit more crimes.
