Today, Monday, the Captive Club said that, on the 75th anniversary of the Nakba, corresponding to the 15th of May, it coincides with the first anniversary of the martyrdom of the prisoner Dawood Al-Zubaidi, who died of a serious injury by the Israeli occupation army in the Jenin camp, and as a result he was transferred to the Israeli “Rambam” hospital. to receive treatment, and the occupation announced his arrest as soon as he was transferred for treatment, until he announced his death.

The club stated in a statement that the martyr Daoud Al-Zubaidi (43 years) from the Jenin camp, who is the brother of the captive leader Zakariya Al-Zubaidi, one of the heroes of the “Freedom Tunnel”, the son of the martyr Samira Al-Zubaidi, and the brother of the martyr Taha Al-Zubaidi, was arrested many times along with all of his brothers, and he spent what He has been in the occupation prisons for about 12 years, between sentences and administrative detention. He is married and has three children. During the battle of Jenin camp in 2002, his mother was martyred, his brother was martyred, and the occupation demolished their home twice. In addition to his brother Zakaria, his two brothers (Jibril and Yahya) are detained in the occupation prisons.

The Captive Club pointed out that the occupation authorities continue to detain the body of Daoud Al-Zubaidi, along with 12 of his martyr comrades, who rose during the past years in the occupation prisons.

It is noteworthy that the 13 martyrs are among (237) prisoners who rose in the occupation prisons from 1967 until 2022, and there are hundreds of prisoners who rose shortly after their release, as a result of diseases and injuries they inherited through the years of their detention.
