Shtayyeh and the presidency condemn the Israeli aggression on Gaza
Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh said, "The Israeli aggression against our people in the Gaza Strip is organized state terrorism, an attempt to export the internal crisis, and a practical translation of the doctrine of killing, arson, and genocide, which those in power in Israel have always professed."
He added in a statement: "This aggression is an extension of the catastrophe that befell our people in 48, and the continuous aggression against cities, towns, villages, and camps in the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem, the latest of which was the storming of the city of Nablus this morning."
Shtayyeh called on the United Nations, which is preparing to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Nakba, for the first time in its history, to condemn the aggression on the Strip and the continuing massacres against our people, and to unify standards in dealing with the crimes committed by the leaders of Israel, and not to allow them to escape punishment.
For his part, the official spokesman for the presidency, Nabil Abu Rudeineh, condemned the dangerous Israeli escalation against our people, holding the Israeli government fully responsible for this dangerous escalation that drags the region into the square of violence, tension and instability.
Abu Rudeineh warned the American administration against allowing the Israeli occupation authorities to persist in their continuous crimes against the Palestinian people, especially as they affect children, women and sanctities.
