The Prisoners Club, the Israeli Occupation Prisons Administration, held full responsibility for the life of the detainee, MP Ahmed Atoun (55 years old) from Jerusalem, after his health condition deteriorated, and he was transferred to Shaare Tsedek Hospital, during which he underwent medical examinations, and according to the information, he will undergo a catheterization operation. next Sunday.


The club stated in a statement that the expelled MP Atoun was arrested at dawn yesterday, Thursday, from his home in Beit Sahour / Bethlehem, after assaulting him and his family members.


It is noteworthy that the occupation authorities released him last November, after an eight-month administrative detention. He is a former prisoner who spent more than 16 years in the occupation prisons, most of them under administrative detention.


The Prisoner's Club called on all the competent authorities to take urgent action, to find out the exact details of the health status of the prisoner Atoun, and stressed that the sick cases among the prisoners are on the rise, especially among the prisoners who spent long periods in captivity, as the number of sick prisoners is about (700) prisoners. .
