A new Israeli bill to deduct funds from the Authority
The Hebrew newspaper Israel Hayom reported, on Thursday, that the Israeli Knesset approved yesterday, in its first reading, a draft law that allows the families of Israelis killed in Palestinian attacks to file claims to compensate them from the Palestinian clearing funds.
According to the Hebrew newspaper, the law was introduced with the support of Knesset members from the government coalition and from the opposition, claiming that the Palestinian Authority encourages "terrorism" and families can be compensated with their money.
The bill also stipulates that NIS 10 million can be automatically deducted to the families of those killed without proof of damage.
