Prisoners Authority: The prisoner Mutawakkil Radwan struggles with illness and the jailer

The authority added that the prisoner suffers from blood clotting and clogged arteries, as he underwent a catheterization operation, and he also suffers from a chronic disease, which is Bahjat’s disease, which is a disease that causes inflammation of blood vessels throughout the body, in addition to pain in the back and joints, knowing that Radwan was not suffering from chronic diseases. No illness before his arrest except for a slight pain in his knee.
The Commission called on all international institutions and bodies, especially the World Health Organization, the Red Cross and Doctors Without Borders, to intervene urgently to save the life of the sick prisoner, Mutawakkil Radwan, to release him to provide him with the necessary treatment outside prisons.
The prisoner was arrested on October 5, 2003, from Qalqilya Governorate, after a chase that lasted for more than two years. He was caught at four o'clock in the morning in a residential building in Qalqilya Governorate, after the house and his area were surrounded for several hours. He was sentenced to 22 years in prison.
It is mentioned during the investigation period that Radwan was subjected to the most severe types of torture and beatings, and he stayed for nearly 120 days in centers that are considered the most harmful to a prisoner.
