Warnings against his liquidation.. The occupation prosecution requests the prisoner Khader Adnan to be imprisoned for 4 years
Amid warnings of the liquidation of the prisoner, Sheikh Khader Adnan (44 years), from the town of Arraba, south of Jenin, by turning back his demands and neglecting his hunger strike that has been going on for 80 days, the Israeli occupation prosecution demanded, according to the head of the Palestinian Prisoners Club, Qaddoura Fares, that Adnan be imprisoned for 4 years, After filing an indictment against him.
In an interview with Al-Quds.com, Fares asserted that the occupation fabricated an indictment against Adnan, on well-known charges, whether he made statements through the media or his participation in events, that matters are heading towards his liquidation by neglecting his strike and not responding to his demand for his freedom.
Fares revealed that the Israeli Occupation Prosecution demanded that Adnan be imprisoned for 5 years, to be reduced to 4 years now, stressing the need to intensify efforts to save Adnan's life, especially since Israel this time filed an indictment against him, not as the previous strikes against his administrative detention.
According to Fares, Israel believes that no prisoner has canceled an indictment through a strike. In previous times, Adnan's detention was canceled because he was administrative, which in the eyes of the world was arbitrary, but this time Israel filed an indictment against Adnan, and disclosed the charges against him. , and refused to release him on bail, which means that the occupation is moving towards liquidating him, bearing in mind that these charges were present at the time of his administrative detention, and they would have been secretly, without an indictment being filed.
For his part, the official of the legal department in the Commission for Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs, lawyer Jamil Saadeh, warned in an interview with Al-Quds.com about the seriousness of the health situation of prisoner Khader Adnan, especially in light of the continuation of his strike, the occupation’s management of his case, and the lack of negotiations about it, which is something Fear for his life doubles.
The Captive Club confirmed, in a press statement today, Tuesday, that the occupation's continued arrest of Sheikh Khader Adnan is a death sentence against him, 80 days after his open hunger strike, and his health reaching a very dangerous stage.
It is noteworthy that the prisoner Adnan has been detained since the fifth of last February, and he had declared his hunger strike since the moment of his arrest, and later the occupation authorities issued an indictment against him, in return, Sheikh Adnan rejected all of what was stated in the indictment.
The prisoner, Sheikh Khader Adnan, is married and the father of nine children, the youngest of his children is one and a half years old and the eldest is 14 years old. The prisoner Adnan is considered one of the most prominent prisoners who faced arrest, through the struggle with his empty stomachs, as he previously carried out five strikes against his administrative detention, and this is the sixth strike that took place. He carries it out over the course of his 12 years of detention, and this strike is the longest he has been involved in.
