In this context, Mansour stressed the need for urgent attention to the plight of Palestinian prisoners, including those on hunger strike and the sick, calling on the international community, especially the High Contracting Parties to the Fourth Geneva Convention, to assume their responsibilities to ensure that Israel, the occupying power, respects its obligations in this regard. connection, reiterating his call for the release of all Palestinian prisoners held by the Israeli occupation.
Mansour also indicated that Israel continued to suppress Palestinian worshipers and violate freedom of religion, as the Israeli occupation forces obstructed the peaceful celebrations of Easter in occupied Palestine, and brutally beat Palestinian worshipers and Christian believers while they were trying to reach the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in occupied East Jerusalem to celebrate the Holy Saturday, violating Once again the historical and legal status quo in the Holy Places of Jerusalem. Mansour also noted that extremist settlers continue to raid Palestinian cities and villages, intimidate and attack Palestinian civilians, including children, and destroy Palestinian property, agricultural crops and orchards.
