Ismail Haniyeh , head of the Hamas political bureau, received on Sunday evening the Secretary General of the National Initiative , Mustafa Barghouti, in the Qatari capital, Doha .

The two sides discussed developments and developments at the political and field levels, especially in the blessed month of Ramadan, and the reflection of the regional and international conditions on the Palestinian cause and the multiple challenges and opportunities available in light of these developments at all levels.

During the meeting, he reviewed the behavior of the occupation and its crimes in the city of Jerusalem and the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, the assassinations in the occupied West Bank, the settlers' violations and their continuous attacks on citizens, their property and lands, the repercussions of the blockade on the Gaza Strip, and the role of our Palestinian people in confronting these aggressive policies and the racist Israeli government.

They discussed means of joint national action on the basis of confronting this extremist government and its escalating violations and plans against our land, sanctities and rights, and how to achieve field unity, activate the energies and capabilities of our people, enhance their steadfastness and build their strength to confront the occupation and its policies.

The two parties stressed the need to activate the regional and international dimension to confront and isolate the occupation government and show its true face to the world, and to emphasize the failure of the political track and the occupation's denial of the rights of all our people.
