Occupation attacks and restrictions on Islamic and Christian holidays
Today, Christians celebrate the glorious Easter according to the eastern calendar, and our country, Palestine, is distinguished as the castle of religions and the cradle of the Christian religion in particular, and it has no equal in all parts of the world. In this context, it should be noted that the numbers of Christians are relatively few and are decreasing in general and constantly for many different reasons.
Today, Sunday, is the Eastern Easter holiday, and the occupation, as always, imposed restrictions on worshipers on this occasion, set up roadblocks and impeded the arrival of those who wish to pray, from reaching the various churches, the most important of which is the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Old Jerusalem.
The occupation had stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque and attacked the worshipers in its vastness, meaning that it does not establish any regard for the holy places and does not hesitate to practice its attacks in all forms and times. However, our people, Muslims and Christians, are steadfast and adhere to their rights, and no party, no matter how arrogant, will be able to eliminate them or their rights and future.
About education and teachers
It is indisputable that education is the largest and most important base for the development of peoples and the future, and we are a people, without exaggeration, one of the most scientifically and educationally developed Arab, Islamic and international peoples, and illiteracy is almost completely gone in our society.
These days we are facing an education crisis related to the teachers’ strike and the interruption of studies for various periods. The government has taken the initiative to seek solutions to this crisis by responding to the demands of the teachers as much as possible. The educational issue has been restored as much as possible and schools have opened their doors, and it is assumed that they will all return to regular hours on this day. Tomorrow is Monday.
Needless to say, the strike was almost a catastrophe, if not an actual catastrophe, because the cessation of thousands of teachers and thousands of male and female students from receiving their lessons means that we are entering a spiral of ignorance and the loss of the future.
Many have said that the strike in general is not the appropriate means, nor is it patriotic either, and it was possible to strike one class per day or one day per week instead of disrupting the entire study.
In any case, what is hoped and required is the continuation of studies without interruption or interruption, out of respect for these thousands of male and female students and the future that awaits us and them together.
The prisoners...they are the torch of freedom
Today, Sunday, the torch of freedom will be lit, marking the start of the Prisoner's Day activities. In fact, our people are full of prisoners, and many of them spent many years behind bars, including the prisoner leader Marwan Al-Barghouti, who entered his 22nd year in the occupation prisons, as well as the prisoner Ahmed Al-Sakani, the prisoner Shadi Abdel Samie Al-Kilani, and the prisoner Khader Adnan, who started an open hunger strike nearly seventy days.
When the flame of freedom is lit to mark the start of the activities of the Prisoner's Day, we remain less than what is obligatory, because the prisoners are truly the flame of freedom, and they have all the respect, appreciation, love, and hope that they will obtain their freedom.
