The Palestinian Presidency announced its rejection and condemnation of the escalating Israeli measures aimed at imposing restrictions in order to prevent believers from accessing places of worship in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and participating in the ceremonies for Holy Saturday.

The presidency said in a statement today, Wednesday, "We strongly support the demands of the churches in the city of Jerusalem to allow free and smooth access for Christian pilgrims to attend the Holy Saturday ceremonies," stressing that these continuous attacks on the holy religious places in Jerusalem are a dangerous escalation, the consequences of which the occupation authorities bear.
