Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant announced, this evening, Saturday, April 08, 2023, the extension of the closure on the West Bank and the Gaza Strip crossings, and the cancellation of Ramadan facilities, due to the security escalation.

According to the Israeli Army Radio, Galant instructed the military occupation forces to assist the police inside.

The Israeli army radio had previously published following the security escalation: "In the Israeli security system, they are studying the extension of the closure imposed on the West Bank and the Gaza crossings."

She added, "The closure imposed on Easter eve is supposed to end at midnight, but recent operations have made them consider extending the closure beyond Easter."

In another context, the Israeli security establishment estimates that tonight, clashes may occur at Al-Aqsa, which could lead to another wave of escalation.
