The Islamic Endowments in Jerusalem calls for seclusion in Al-Aqsa
Today, Wednesday, the Islamic Endowments Council in Jerusalem called on all Muslims in the West Bank , occupied Jerusalem , and the occupied interior to observe i'tikaaf in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque , stressing that protecting Al-Aqsa is the duty of every Muslim.
The Council also affirmed in a statement that Al-Aqsa Mosque has not and will not be closed to those in i'tikaaf, each according to his ability, program and intention, throughout the days and nights of the holy month of Ramadan.
The Council strongly condemned the brutal assault of the occupation police on the dawn of the fourteenth day of Ramadan 1444 AH / April 5, 2023 AD, on the seclusion inside Al-Aqsa, with severe beatings, expelling them from their worship and arresting them, in addition to attacking the property of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Council called on the Israeli police to remain outside the gates of Al-Aqsa and to enable worshipers from all parts of Palestine to exercise their right to access their Al-Aqsa Mosque throughout the days of the year.
He also demanded the immediate release of all detainees from inside the mosque and the cancellation of all orders to deport dozens of Jerusalemites from it.
The Council affirmed that it is in a state of permanent convening to follow up on the situation and developments in Al-Aqsa Mosque, with direct support from the Custodian of Islamic holy sites and with the support and bond of the people of Jerusalem and Palestine.
