Ukraine gets $2.7 billion from the new program of the International Monetary Fund
Ukraine has received the first tranche of the new aid program of the International Monetary Fund , amounting to 2.7 billion US dollars, Andrei Peshny , head of the National Bank of Ukraine, announced on Monday.
"We thank our partners for their prompt assistance," Bishni wrote on Facebook.
He added that Ukraine is now actively working to successfully pass the first review of the program and receive the next tranche of aid.
Last week, the International Monetary Fund approved a $15.6 billion, 48-month arrangement under the Extended Fund Facility.
It is worth noting that the program aims to consolidate policies that maintain financial, external, tax and price stability, as well as those that support economic recovery in Ukraine.
