The bulletin stated that the number of mining licenses valid in the sector until the end of January 2023 amounted to 2,230 licenses, including 1,331 building materials quarry licenses, 647 exploration licenses, 178 mining and small mine exploitation licenses, 42 reconnaissance licenses, and 32 surplus mineral ores licenses.

The bulletin indicated that the number of new industrial licenses issued by the Ministry during January 2023 amounted to 124 licenses, with investments amounting to 2.4 billion riyals, while 164 factories started production operations during the same period, with investments amounting to 2.7 billion riyals.
