Colony Parliament election results 25

Written by: Hamada Pharaoh
The right-wing and far-right opposition parties in the Israeli colony, led by Netanyahu, achieved a tangible victory in the 25 parliamentary elections on November 1, 2022.
The four parties won 64 seats, a significant increase from what they had in the previous parliament, 24, while the coalition of right-wing parties that led the government headed by Yair Lapid retreated, and did not achieve the ability to continue its position and seats. As for the center-left party camp, the Labor Party retreated, and the Meretz movement lost. its location.
The camp of the Palestinian parties maintained its total seats from ten seats in the previous session to ten seats in the new 25th session.
The results of what the four electoral camps achieved were as follows:
First, the camp of the right-wing coalition with the extreme right achieved the following:
1- The Likud is headed by Netanyahu and has 32 seats, out of 30.
2- Religious Zionism, headed by the duo Bezalel Smotrich and Itamar Ben Gvir, with 14 seats, and it had only 6 seats in the previous parliament.
3- Shas, headed by Aryeh Deri, won 11 seats, up from the previous 9 seats.
4- "Torah Jews" headed by Moshe Gafni, won 8 seats, and had 7 seats.
Thus, the representation of this camp increased from 52 seats to 64, which qualifies Netanyahu to assign him to form the government without the need for any alliance with any of the other three camps' parties.
Secondly, the coalition of right-wing parties decreased its representation from 45 seats to 42.
According to the following results:
1 - "There is a Future" headed by Yair Lapid won 24 seats, he had 17 seats.
2- The National Camp, headed by Benny Gantz, won 11 seats, Blue and White had 8 seats, and New Hope 6 seats.
3- "Israel Our Home", headed by Avigdor Lieberman, won 5 seats, down from 7 seats previously.
4- The Yamina party, which had 7 seats, faded away and merged with other parties: Naftali Bennett resigned and did not run for any party, Adit Silman and Amichai Shikli joined the Likud, Matan Kahane joined the National Camp list, and Ayelet Shaked joined the party. She joined the Jewish Home and headed its list, but she did not succeed, and she did not pass the threshold.
Thirdly, the center-left camp got: 1- The Labor Party won 4 seats out of the 7 seats it had in the previous parliamentary session, 2- The Meretz movement had 6 seats, failed and did not exceed the threshold, and is now outside Parliament.
Fourth, the Palestinian camp, which consists of three lists:
1- The Joint Parliamentary List, consisting of the Democratic Front for Peace and Equality coalition headed by Ayman Odeh, and the Arab Movement for Change headed by Ahmed Tibi, had 6 seats, then fell to 5 seats.
2- The Unified Arab List, headed by Mansour Abbas, advanced and won 5 seats, instead of the previous 4 seats.
3- The list of the National Democratic Gathering Party, led by Sami Abu Shehadeh, ran in the elections in the previous round with the Joint Alliance. It had representation with one seat. It ran in this round alone, so it could not pass the threshold and failed to reach Parliament.
The features of the Israeli political scene, through the results of the ballot boxes, are clear that the Israeli society is becoming more right-wing and extremist, equivalent to 80 percent of the Israelis, and the center-left camp has declined to the point of vanishing with the success of the "Labour" party with four seats, and the defeat of the "Meretz" movement.
The rotation between the right-wing parties, and it is clear that it fluctuates between supporting this party or that, but the extreme religious right-wing current is increasing in strength and influence, which will be reflected in the behavior and performance of the entire colony’s policies of cruelty and ferocity against both sides of the Palestinian people in areas 48 and 67, and the Palestinians will pay the price of success and victory The right and the extreme right in the administration of the colony, after the Palestinians did not learn from the severity of their divisions, and from the importance of their alliance with each other and the unity of their work and struggle in confronting the colony, its occupation and its racism.
