4 civilians were injured in an explosion in Takhar Province, Afghanistan

TALOQAN, Afghanistan - (Xinhua) Four people, all of them civilians, were injured when an explosion rocked Taloqan, capital of northern Afghanistan's Takhar province, on Wednesday, said Abdul Mobin Safi, provincial police spokesman.

Speaking to Xinhua, Safi added, "It was a mine explosion that injured four civilians."

The spokesman indicated that an investigation had been opened into the incident, without giving further details.
