The rise of the extreme right in Israel presents the Palestinians with crucial challenges

Written by: Tayseer Khaled

The figure of former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, accused of corruption and breach of trust, occupied a pivotal position in the Israeli elections, which took place on the first of this month. Although opinion polls were swinging and suggesting a continuation of the political crisis in Israel, the fundamental question revolved around Benjamin Netanyahu's chances of reaching a majority that would enable him to form a government with his allies from the religious parties (United Torah Judaism for the Westerners and Shas for the Easterners) and with my party Fascism led by the fascist duo Bezalel Smotrich and Itamar Ben Gvir on religious Zionism. The election results brought good news to Netanyahu, with a clear victory for the "religious Zionist" list, which has become the third force in the Knesset, with a jump from 6 seats in the elections for the 24th Knesset, which took place a year and a half ago, to 14 seats in the 25th Knesset.
It is known that the traditional religious Jewish parties have no problem with Netanyahu or anyone else in the presidency of the Council of Ministers, if he responds to their demands, which are usually non-political insofar as they are related to ministerial portfolios and the accompanying budgets that are used in the interest of strengthening the influence of these parties in the circles. which it claims to represent. ‏
However, the situation is completely different with ideological parties such as the "Otzmah Yehudit" party led by Ben Gvir and the "Jewish Unity" party led by Smotrich, who united in one list, whose godfather was Benjamin Netanyahu, to run for the Knesset elections. And with the great victory of the two parties’ list in the elections, the question began to arise: Will Netanyahu fulfill his promises to grant the representatives of this list ministerial portfolios that fit their parliamentary weight and have a tangible impact on the political decision in the occupying and racist country, and he knows that religious Zionism is a satanic sprout, which contributed to His rise is a man who occupied the center of attention in the Knesset elections over the past three years, when he divided the electorate between those with him and those against him, regardless of the smells of corruption that emanated from around him. ‏
Why did I grow demonic... The answer to that is not difficult. The leaders of both "Otzma Yehudit" and "Jewish Unity" did not make such a big leap in the elections thanks to a political process that made its way among social groups suffering from problems of unemployment, poverty, or a deterioration in the standard of living. In the 2020 elections, this satanic seed, the heir to the Kach movement, led by the hateful racist rabbi Meir Kahane and classified even in Israel, took place in the 2020 elections. As a prohibited movement, about 225,000 votes were cast without logical premises. This number more than doubled in the last elections, for nothing but because the colonial settlers crawled to the ballot boxes to elect the list of this coalition.
Describing the representatives of the “religious Zionist” list as fascist does not carry any degree of blaming or exaggeration, and in any case they are not the only fascists in the occupying and racist state, but their fascism is a naked fascism that feeds on delusions of racial superiority and religious myths that are intended for it through a huge amount of Forgery and misleading become part of the history, culture and civilization of this region, if not the exact history, culture and civilization of this region, without a real historical reference. It is fascism based on hatred of the foreigner, or in Talmudic expressions, hatred of Gentiles, for nothing but because God wants it. ‏
This hatred of Gentiles is an ideological hatred with a religious cover. It does not push Gentiles to fall into the well, but if that happens, it is forbidden to extend a helping hand to them. It is an ingrained hatred that expresses a fascist ideology, in the manner of Bezalel Smotrich, who does not accept that his wife give birth in the hospital with Arab women and calls for a fundamental change in human rights laws in the state despite its fragility and the annexation of the West Bank to the occupying state, or in the manner of Itamar. Ben Gvir, who defends his Talmudic concepts of what is called in the occupation army “purity of arms” as ethnic cleansing and calls for changing the firing orders and not imposing any restrictions on the soldiers and police in their dealings with the Palestinians and declares frankly, clearly and insolently that the Palestinian Arabs are a surplus He must be expelled, and if they wanted to live in the State of Israel from the sea to the river, then without political or even civil rights, given that this is a divine will. Thus, "religious Zionism" as a fascist movement presents its program as a colonial settlement project with racist content that calls for an escalation in the approach of ethnic cleansing with determination, especially in Jerusalem, the West Bank, the Triangle and the Negev. ‏
With this fascist movement, Benjamin Netanyahu made alliances and agreements, sometimes overtly and others subconsciously, so the work was divided in preparation for the Knesset elections in a way that serves his interests in returning to power in Israel, as prime minister, the Likud focusing his campaign on city centers, while his new allies are from Religious Zionists "focus on the parties, especially the settlements in the West Bank, as they are the electoral reservoir, in order to guarantee a sufficient number of seats to qualify them to win the electoral race, and so it was and it won the race."
Now, what next, and what awaits Benjamin Netanyahu, and will he fulfill his promises and commitments to his neo-fascist allies, regardless of the results and repercussions, not only on the internal level in Israel, but also on the level of his relationship with the outside, especially with the United States of America. On the eve of the 2020 Knesset elections, the lying magician announced that he would not appoint Ben Gvir if his camp won his cabinet, but this time Netanyahu swallowed his tongue, as he needs the support of his new allies to escape conviction and punishment in his trial on charges of corruption, and they will They give him this support, and he needs them to pass laws not only regarding his trial, but also for his continuation in power for as long as possible, at least for a new election cycle, especially after the great victory they achieved in the elections. Smotrich and Ben Gvir are no longer without teeth, as their teeth after the elections have become like the teeth of a shark, and this is what Netanyahu realizes and what he will deal with in a bet on containing internal and external reactions and a bet on the possible changes, which could bring him good news in the midterm elections for Congress. The American. ‏
So Netanyahu is on the way to form a government that is the most extreme in the history of a country that no longer has the tools to market itself as the only democratic country in the region. The Palestinians, the original inhabitants of the country, are considered to be Aghayars in Talmudic concepts. Thus, these elections came to place the Palestinians not only in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip, but also in historical Palestine as well as in the diaspora, in front of tasks and challenges different from previous ones, especially after the discourse of colonial settlement, hatred, transfer, and ethnic cleansing turned into an official discourse of the occupying state. Israeli apartheid threatens the present and future of the Palestinians and their right to self-determination with its three components: inalienable national rights, citizenship rights and equality for the Palestinian people in the territories occupied in 1948, inalienable national rights to independence and freedom from occupation and settlement in the occupied Palestinian territories in 1967, and national rights Fixed in the return of the Palestinian refugees who were expelled from their homes and properties by brute military force, what has become a serious and responsible review of politics that requires the formation of a united national front that includes all Palestinians inside the Palestinian territories and in the Palestinian territories occupied by the aggression of 1967 and in the diaspora, a front that is open to the participation of all forces And the Jewish progressive personalities in the State of Israel, despite their limitations, due to the limited humanitarian situation in this country, because The rise of fascism under official cover through the Knesset in the occupying state and apartheid is not confined to the Palestinians alone as much as its evil extends to all of historical Palestine, but rather goes beyond that to pervade the entire region.
