An event to demand the return of the bodies of the martyrs and to honor the captive Karim Younis in Hebron
Hebron - "Jerusalem" dot com - Participants in an event demanded, today, Tuesday, human rights institutions and concerned authorities to put pressure on the Israeli occupation forces to release the bodies of the martyred prisoners they are holding, in the town of Tapouh, west of Hebron.
The event was organized by the Directorate of Education in the center of Hebron, at the invitation of the Captive Club, the Fatah Movement in Tapouh, the Municipality of Tapouh, and the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Prisoners Affairs, with the participation of the security and official establishment, the activities of the Hebron Governorate, and the families of a number of martyrs and prisoners.
The participants also called on the masses of our people to participate widely in receiving the Dean of Prisoners, Karim Younes, who will be released from the occupation prisons after 40 years of detention.
Amjad Al-Najjar, the media spokesman for the Prisoners' Authority, said, "This event comes in the context of loyalty to the prisoners, calling on all institutions to pressure the occupation to release the bodies of the detained martyrs, especially the martyrs of the captive movement, the last of whom was the martyr prisoner Nasser Abu Hamid, whose body the occupation forces are still holding." ".
For his part, a member of the Central Hebron region, Muhannad al-Ja'bari, demanded the expansion of popular and national participation in receiving the prisoner Karim Younes, who spent his life and freedom for the Palestinian cause, as well as the martyrs who are held by the occupation in the morgues and "numbers' graves."
He stressed that the Fatah movement will remain the protector of the national project, support for the prisoners, and loyalty to the blood of the martyrs and the wounded who came for the establishment of the Palestinian state.
For his part, the Director of the Commission for Detainees and Ex-Prisoners' Affairs, Ibrahim Najajra, called on the international community to intervene to protect the Palestinian people, and to defend the rights of Palestinian prisoners who are still illegally detained by the occupation forces, stressing our people's support for the prisoners' issues and their just demands of living in freedom and dignity.
In turn, the Director of Hebron Education, Atef Al-Jamal, emphasized the interest of education in all activities and events in support of the prisoners, and the demand for the recovery of the bodies of the martyrs, according to programs and activities approved by the Ministry with the participation of students, whether through murals implemented in schools, campaigns for signatures and letters delivered to human rights bodies. And others in order to put pressure on the occupation to stop its crimes against our people and their families.
