Developing a smart application for rapid response to traffic accidents by students from "Polytechnic"

Hebron - "Quds" dot com - Students from the Faculty of Information Technology and Computer Engineering at Palestine Polytechnic University created a smart application for rapid response to traffic accidents using "drone".


This application was completed by a group of students, they are; Nawal Al-Karaki, Suzan Al-Dagamin, and Muhammad Al-Baba, under the supervision of Dr. Musa Irfaia.


The students participating in the development of the application stated that this project contributes to serving the local community in light of the increasing reliance on modern means of communication and their applications in various fields, the most prominent of which are smart phones and their applications that enable users to carry out various activities in various fields such as doing business or communication. with others or geolocation.


The application is the development of a mobile application for citizens, as it displays an alert message to the user (affirmation or rejection) when he is exposed to a strong shake by sensing the phone’s vibration. A drone equipped with a first aid bag is sent to the accident site and works on filming the accident, which contributes to giving a clear picture of the extent of the accident and providing the required assistance, such as exploring the nature and size of the accident, the number of injured people, and the number of ambulances to be sent to the place.


It is worth noting that the project was nominated to participate in the World Summit on the Information Society Awards competition organized under the auspices of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), in which Palestine participates under the auspices of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology to represent Palestine, where it qualified in the category of the role of governments and all stakeholders in promoting technology Information and communication.
