During his meeting with his Iraqi counterpart.. Shtayyeh: We will go to the Security Council to oblige Israel to the signed agreements

Germany - "Jerusalem" dot com - Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh said, "We will go to the Security Council in order to oblige Israel to the signed agreements and to stop all unilateral measures towards us."


This came on the sidelines of his participation in the Munich Security Conference, today, Thursday, in the German city of Munich, where he met with the Iraqi Prime Minister , Muhammad Shia’a al-Sudani , in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Riyad Al-Maliki, and the Palestinian Ambassador to Germany, Laith Arafa.


Shtayyeh discussed with Al-Sudani ways to convene the joint Palestinian-Iraqi committee, and to send a delegation of Palestinian businessmen to Iraq to discuss expanding and enhancing trade exchange between the two countries.


Shtayyeh said, "The Palestinian-Iraqi relationship is firmly rooted throughout history. Palestine lives in the heart of every Iraqi, just as Iraq lives in the heart of every Palestinian."


For his part, the Iraqi Prime Minister affirmed that the Palestinian issue is in the conscience of every Iraqi, supporting Palestine's direction in every step it needs, and Iraq's keenness to achieve Palestinian reconciliation and support it as much as possible.
