Prisoners' Authority: The deteriorating health conditions of three sick prisoners languishing in the Negev prison camp and the "Ramle" prison clinic

The Commission of Detainees and Ex-Prisoners revealed, in a report issued today, Sunday, after the visit of its lawyer, Fadi Obeidat, to the Negev prison, a group of sick cases of a number of Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli detention centers, including: the case of the prisoner Muhammad Mardawi (43 years) from the town of Arraba, south of Jenin. , who is still suffering from a difficult health condition, as he complains of severe chest pain and a severe and continuous cough, which affects his breathing process, as his health condition worsened after he was infected with a virus five months ago, and because of the delay of the prison administration, no examinations were conducted for him and they were not provided. He was given no treatment, which aggravated his health condition, as the prisoner suffers from an old problem with the lungs as a result of complications due to him being given medication by mistake in 2012. Three months ago, he underwent an x-ray, and he was informed that he was suffering from acute inflammation of the lungs, and he was given cortisone.
While the prisoner Imad Abu Ramouz (48 years) from the city of Hebron, who is currently in the Negev prison, suffers from gum infections and dental decay, and today he has only six left of his mills, which are also decayed, and he refuses to remove them because the remaining period for him in captivity is long, and he does not know what It will be resolved if it was taken off.
Abu Ramouz previously suffered from testicular cancer, as the right testicle was removed a year ago and he was given chemotherapy, in addition to periodic examinations. Recently, he was informed by the prisoner’s doctor that he needed to conduct new examinations, but he is still waiting until now, as the prison administration is deliberately neglecting his health condition.
The authority added, quoting its lawyer, Fawaz Shaloudi, after his visit to the “Ramle” prison clinic, details of the health condition of the injured prisoner, Nazir Dar Ahmed (22 years), from the town of Abwein, northwest of Ramallah, who is facing an alarming health condition, after being hit by 20 bullets in various parts of the city. His body, by the occupation army during his arrest last May.
The prisoner also complains of severe back and foot pains, as a result of the presence of shrapnel in his body, and he is only given painkillers.
The Commission held the Israeli prison administration fully responsible for the continuation of the series of medical negligence against Palestinian detainees, and called on international institutions, human rights institutions and the Red Cross to play their necessary role towards the issue of detainees to the fullest.
