Widespread Military Escalation: US Strikes Hit Deep Inside Iran, Tehran Retaliates by Targeting Bases in Kuwait and Jordan

The US Central Command announced the completion of a new and intensive wave of air and missile strikes against military targets inside Iranian territory, in direct implementation of instructions from President Donald Trump. The military operations included concentrated bombing targeting air defense infrastructure and command and control facilities in multiple strategic areas.

Field sources reported violent explosions shaking the cities of Bandar Abbas, Bushehr, and Sirik, in addition to targeting Semnan Airport, located east of the capital Tehran, and sites in Lorestan province. Reports confirmed that the bombing also hit Qeshm Island, leading to columns of smoke rising from vital facilities belonging to the Iranian armed forces.

In an official statement, Central Command clarified that the attacks focused on neutralizing ballistic missile and drone capabilities, as well as destroying coastal surveillance facilities that threaten international navigation. The statement emphasized that US forces seek to reduce Tehran's ability to carry out hostile attacks in vital waterways.

In a related context, the offensive wave continued for 90 consecutive minutes, during which US fighters focused on destroying coastal defense positions and cruise missiles on Greater Tunb Island. This step, according to Washington, aims to prevent Iran from targeting commercial vessels and ensure freedom of navigation in the strategic Strait of Hormuz.

For its part, the Iranian army showed a firm stance regarding military pressure, with its spokesman stating that US operations will not succeed in imposing a new reality to open the Strait of Hormuz by force. Tehran affirmed that reopening the strait is exclusively contingent on Washington's application of Iranian regulations and full adherence to previously signed memorandums of understanding.

In response to the US escalation, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced retaliatory attacks targeting the US military presence in the region, specifically in Kuwait and Jordan. Iranian forces used a combination of guided missiles and suicide drones in their attack to precisely strike specific targets.

In Kuwait, Iranian shelling targeted the early warning radar system and gatherings of US soldiers at Ali Al Salem Air Base, leading to a widespread military alert. The Kuwaiti army announced that air defense systems were able to intercept and destroy a number of hostile drones that attempted to penetrate national airspace.

As for Jordan, the shelling hit military communication systems and fuel tanks belonging to US forces at Al Azraq Air Base, in response to the killing of 7 Iranian soldiers in Bampur city. The Jordanian Armed Forces confirmed their success in shooting down 8 Iranian missiles before they reached their targets, noting that no casualties occurred among civilians or military personnel.

Alert status extended to the Kingdom of Bahrain, where the Ministry of Interior activated sirens in various areas as a precautionary measure to alert residents. Bahraini authorities called on citizens and residents to maintain complete calm and immediately head to shelters and safe places in anticipation of any sudden military developments.

These rapid developments come amid a naval blockade reimposed by the United States on Iranian ports since the beginning of this week, which has intensified tensions. The region is experiencing a state of military turmoil with continued exchange of strikes, amid international fears of the situation escalating into a full-scale regional war spiraling out of control.

US hostile actions will not be able to open the Strait of Hormuz, and the only way is for Washington to adhere to Iranian regulations.
