The death toll in the Gaza Strip rose today, Thursday, due to attacks by Israeli occupation forces, with four citizens martyred and others injured in targeted attacks across various areas of the Strip. Medical and field sources reported that the attacks focused on the northern and southern parts of the Strip, noting that the occupation continues to use drones and direct sniping against civilians despite the ongoing ceasefire agreement.
In details of the field aggression, 13-year-old child Jude Dweik was martyred, and two other Palestinians were injured with varying degrees of severity after a 'quadcopter' drone dropped a bomb on a gathering of citizens in the Beit Lahia project in the northern Strip. Another drone also targeted the vicinity of the Halawa displacement camp in the Jabalia البلد area, resulting in an injury among the displaced who are suffering from harsh humanitarian conditions.
In the southern Strip, two Palestinians were martyred by the bullets of occupation soldiers stationed in military control areas in Mawasi, Rafah city, an area that witnesses repeated incursions and attacks. In the town of Al-Qarara, northeast of Khan Yunis city, a fourth martyr fell by the bullets of occupation forces who continue to target anyone moving near the lines of contact.
Regarding search and rescue operations, ambulance crews were able to retrieve the bodies of two martyrs from the Al-Alam roundabout area in Mawasi, Rafah, who were later identified as drivers of humanitarian aid trucks. Medical sources at Nasser Hospital confirmed that the drivers were martyred by the bullets of the occupation army several days ago while attempting to carry out their relief duties, without any field justifications for targeting them.
In a related context, medical teams retrieved the body of another martyr from the Al-Qarara area who had fallen by occupation fire days earlier, as field conditions had prevented access to him sooner. These developments come amidst continued Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement signed in October 2025, with human rights organizations documenting the martyrdom of 881 Palestinians and the injury of 2621 others since the agreement came into effect.
It is worth noting that the Gaza Strip is still recovering from the wounds of two years of genocidal war that began on October 7, 2023, which left massive destruction affecting about 90% of civilian infrastructure. The ongoing aggression in its various forms has resulted in the martyrdom of more than 72,000 and the injury of over 172,000 citizens, amidst international support and silence regarding the continuous violations of international laws.
The total number of victims of ceasefire violations since October 10, 2025, has reached 881 martyrs and 2621 injured.
