Bin Salman discusses the latest developments in Palestine with Macron and calls for an end to the war in Gaza.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman discussed the developments in the occupied Palestinian territories with French President Emmanuel Macron and reiterated the call for an immediate halt to Israel's war on the Gaza Strip.

This came during a phone call received by bin Salman from Macron on Tuesday evening, during which they discussed the existing areas of cooperation between the Kingdom and France in several fields and opportunities to enhance them.

The two sides reviewed the developments in the region, including the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories and the efforts being made to end the humanitarian disaster in Gaza.

With U.S. support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, which includes killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring all international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to stop.

The genocide has resulted in 63,633 deaths and 160,914 injuries among Palestinians, most of whom are children and women, in addition to more than 9,000 missing persons and hundreds of thousands of displaced individuals.

Bin Salman reiterated the Kingdom's position calling for an immediate cessation of the war in Gaza and the necessity of achieving a just, secure, and comprehensive peace in the Middle East, in addition to condemning any actions that undermine the two-state solution.

Since the beginning of its genocidal war on Gaza, Israel has intensified its crimes in the occupied West Bank, including the demolition of homes, the displacement of Palestinian citizens, and the confiscation of their lands.

The annexation of the occupied West Bank by Israel will eliminate the possibility of establishing an independent Palestinian state, in implementation of the two-state solution principle stipulated in United Nations resolutions.
