The World Health Organization said it evacuated 19 sick children and 39 companions from Gaza to Jordan, and four patients and seven companions to Türkiye.
The WHO added in a statement issued Wednesday that Israeli airstrikes occurred near the patient evacuation convoy, damaging vehicles and ambulances.
The Jordanian Armed Forces - the Arab Army announced on Wednesday that it had evacuated the sixth batch of children from the Gaza Strip for medical treatment, including 23 children, accompanied by 46 family members, as part of the "Jordanian Medical Corridor" initiative.
Nineteen of the children will be treated in private Jordanian hospitals, accompanied by 39 of their relatives. Four of the patients will be transferred to Turkey, accompanied by seven of their relatives, for treatment there, reflecting the response of several countries to the humanitarian initiative.
