We disagree with Iran, yes, and no one can outbid Jordan and Jordanians in the harm we have previously been subjected to by groups or gangs linked in one way or another to agencies or institutions similar in their orientations against Jordan from within or outside Iran.

But whose interest is this aggressive Israeli attack on Iran? It serves the interests of Israeli expansion, hegemony, domination, and occupation of Palestine, southern Lebanon, and southwestern Syria. This approach poses direct risks to Jordanian and Arab national security. This explains the Jordanian leadership's awareness and vigilance in its understanding of Israeli aggression and its clear stance rejecting the Israeli aggression against Iran.

It was therefore not surprising that a statement was issued by twenty Arab and Islamic countries, led by Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Algeria, Kuwait, and the UAE, whose three islands are occupied by Iran or which disagree with it over the inclusion of three Emirati islands: Lesser Tunb, Greater Tunb, and Abu Musa, on the Iranian map.

The statement of June 16, 2025, by the foreign ministers of the twenty Arab and Islamic countries, clearly states the following:

“The necessity of respecting the sovereignty of states, their territorial integrity, the principles of good neighborliness, and the settlement of disputes by peaceful means,” “stressing the necessity of halting Israeli hostilities against Iran, which come at a time when the Middle East (the Arab world) is witnessing increasing levels of tension, and the importance of working to reduce tensions to achieve a ceasefire and comprehensive calm,” the statement stressed “the importance of freeing the Middle East region of nuclear weapons and other weapons of mass destruction in accordance with relevant international resolutions and without selectivity, and emphasizing the necessity of all countries in the region quickly joining the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons,” which includes the Israeli colony that possesses dangerous nuclear weapons.

He also stressed "the necessity of not targeting nuclear facilities subject to International Atomic Energy Agency safeguards, in accordance with relevant IAEA and Security Council resolutions, as this constitutes a flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law under the 1949 Geneva Convention," noting "the necessity of returning to the negotiating track as soon as possible, as this is the only way to reach a sustainable agreement on Iran's nuclear program."

The statement by the twenty Arab and Islamic countries represents a political gain for Iran. It must recognize its dimensions and courage, especially since the majority of these countries maintain close relations, in one way or another, with the United States, which supports, sponsors, and backs the Israeli colony.

The bias of the twenty Arab and Islamic countries through the statement of their foreign ministers reflects official Arab and Islamic sympathy with Iran, despite the differences between them or between some of them with Iran. However, the aggression and attack of the colony on Iran pushed these countries to take a political step or steps towards Iran. In return, this reflected the position of these countries towards the Israeli colony and its aggressive expansionist policies. It occupies the entire map of Palestine and lands in Lebanon and Syria, and violates the sacred Islamic and Christian sanctities in Palestine, in Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron. This is in addition to the massacres, genocide and ethnic cleansing practiced by the colony's forces in the Gaza Strip and the Palestinian West Bank camps, and the human rights violations and racism in the Arab Palestinian Negev region against the Bedouins, and their "stripping" of their lands and expulsion from them.

US President Trump's statements and threats are dangerous. They were made in response to the painful strikes Iran launched against the colony, and in response to the statement by twenty Arab and Islamic countries. The question is, after the US threats, will Russia and China stand by and wait for US partnership in attacking Iran?
