UNRWA: The northern West Bank is witnessing the largest displacement campaign since 1967 due to the Israeli aggression.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) revealed that the ongoing Israeli military aggression in the northern occupied West Bank has caused "the largest wave of population displacement since the 1967 war."

This comes as the Israeli occupation army continues its aggression against camps, towns, and cities in the northern West Bank since January 21.

In a post on its X account on Friday, UNRWA said that "the ongoing Israeli military operation in the northern West Bank has caused the largest wave of population displacement since the June 1967 war."

On June 5, 1967, military clashes broke out between Israel on the one hand, and Egypt, Syria, Jordan, and Iraq on the other, with military, financial, and technical support from Algeria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait.

At that time, the Palestinian issue represented a fundamental element in the Arab-Israeli conflict, embodied by this war. The Palestinian territories not occupied by Israel in 1948 were subject to two Arab administrations: the first, Egyptian, responsible for the Gaza Strip, and the second, Jordanian, responsible for the West Bank, including East Jerusalem.

During the six days of the war, known as the "setback," Israel occupied the West Bank, Gaza, Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, and Syria's Golan Heights.

Historians say that Israel plundered the areas it occupied in 1967 and exploited their water and economic resources, which contributed to supporting its economy.

Scenes from the "Naksa"—displacement and the systematic destruction of residential neighborhoods—are recurring, while Palestinians agree that the current Israeli war of genocide remains the most brutal and brutal since 1967.

UNRWA stressed in its post that "the ongoing Israeli military operation in the northern West Bank has resulted in systematic destruction and forced displacement of Palestinians, including demolition orders that have impacted Palestinian families and refugee camps."

She stressed that she "continues to work with her partners to provide urgent humanitarian aid and psychological and social support to displaced families in the West Bank."

UNRWA continued, stating that its teams in the West Bank are providing essential services, including mobile health clinics and online learning services, but the situation remains "extremely worrying."

Since the start of its war of extermination in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli army and settlers have escalated their attacks in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, resulting in the deaths of more than 944 Palestinians, the injury of nearly 7,000, and the arrest of 15,700, according to official Palestinian data.
