The Palestinian Authority denies disbursing financial aid to the families of "militants."

A responsible source in the Palestinian National Authority denied recent media reports about "disbursing financial aid to the families of militants."

He stressed that the Palestinian National Authority no longer bears any responsibility in this regard following the issuance of the decree-law, noting that responsibility for disbursing financial aid has been fully transferred to the Palestinian National Foundation for Economic Empowerment, in accordance with established standards.

The source indicated that the Palestinian National Foundation for Economic Empowerment is the sole entity responsible for implementing the program, and that financial assistance will be disbursed based on the social registry form, which adopts the "multidimensional poverty equation," the primary criterion that will determine which families are eligible for support.

"This criterion is based on a comprehensive assessment of each family's social and economic status, based on several factors such as income, health, education, housing conditions, and other precise social criteria," he said.

The source confirmed that the process of collecting data and analyzing social cases is still ongoing and is expected to take approximately six months to complete accurately.

He pointed out that the results of this process will be announced after the collection and analysis of all data related to needy families, to ensure that support is provided based on fair and transparent criteria.

The source emphasized that the Palestinian National Authority is committed to promoting social justice, and that the Palestinian National Foundation for Economic Empowerment is the sole entity authorized to distribute financial aid according to precise social criteria, without interference from any other party.
