Hamas said on Friday that the brutal massacres in the Gaza Strip and the use of starvation and thirst as weapons constitute a full-fledged genocide.

In a statement, Hamas called on the world, Arab and Islamic countries, to take urgent action to pressure the occupation to lift the siege and halt the aggression.

It called for an immediate response to warnings from humanitarian organizations and UN rapporteurs of a looming catastrophic famine.

It renewed the call to the Arab and Islamic peoples and the free people of the world to take action by all means to support our steadfast people in the Gaza Strip.

It said: "Let the coming days be days of mobilization and anger to pressure for an end to the aggression and to hold the occupation leaders accountable for their crimes."
