Palestinian occupation forces raided residential buildings and turned them into military barracks in Tulkarm.

Israeli occupation forces raided homes and residential buildings in the city of Tulkarm and its two camps on Thursday evening, converting a number of them into military barracks after forcibly evacuating their residents.

Local sources said that the occupation forces raided the Al-Firdaws, Al-Susana, and Al-Hamdallah buildings in the traffic circle area of Tulkarm, adjacent to Nablus Street, and forced residents to evacuate their apartments, giving them two hours to leave, in preparation for converting them into military barracks.

She added that the occupation forces have intensified their military presence on Nablus Street, which connects the Tulkarm and Nur Shams refugee camps, and around the buildings they have seized, with their vehicles and bulldozers positioned in the area.

In Tulkarm camp, occupation forces raided homes in the airport and al-Hadaida neighborhoods, forcibly removing the remaining residents from their homes, transforming them into military barracks. They also fired sound bombs at them, while infantry units spread out across all neighborhoods, raiding empty homes and turning them into military barracks, with a heavy presence in the Muqata'a neighborhood.

Over the past few days, Tulkarm camp has witnessed a massive exodus of its remaining residents from its outlying neighborhoods, including Qaqun, Abu al-Ful, Marbat Hanun, al-Hadaida, and al-Matar, after the occupation forces forced them to leave through threats and intimidation. The camp has become almost empty of its residents, with more than 12,000 refugees displaced.

Meanwhile, the occupation forces dispatched new military reinforcements to Tulkarm, where their vehicles patrolled the streets, specifically the central market and the street leading to the Martyr Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital, obstructing the movement of vehicles, including ambulances. An Israeli military vehicle also rammed a public vehicle in the city center, causing material damage but no injuries.
