The Israeli occupation army announced today, Thursday, the closure of Salah al-Din Street, which connects the north and south of the Gaza Strip, preventing citizens from traveling through it, and allowing them only to walk on Rashid Street.
This came after the Israeli occupation army announced, in the past few hours, the start of a limited ground offensive in the central and southern Gaza Strip.
Reopening the "Netzarim Corridor" and allowing displaced persons to return through it from the southern Gaza Strip to the north was a key provision of the ceasefire agreement.
The occupation forces resumed their aggression on the Gaza Strip at dawn last Tuesday, after a hiatus of more than two months. This resulted in the deaths of more than 400 civilians, the majority of whom were women and children, and hundreds more injured.
The resumption of aggression against the Gaza Strip comes amid fears of a worsening humanitarian situation in the Strip, given the ongoing blockade and the cut-off of medical and humanitarian supplies.
Since October 7, 2023, the occupation forces have launched an aggression on the Gaza Strip, resulting in the death of more than 48,572 citizens, the majority of whom are children and women, and the injury of 112,032 others, while a number of victims are still under the rubble.
