British Minister of State for the Indo-Pacific, Catherine West, stressed the need to commit to implementing the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, emphasizing the United Kingdom's concern over the Israeli occupation authorities preventing the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza.
She explained in a briefing session in the British Parliament on Gaza that humanitarian aid should not be conditional on a ceasefire or used as a political tool, calling for the restrictions to be lifted immediately and without conditions.
West noted that the humanitarian situation in Gaza is extremely deteriorating, warning that "stopping the entry of supplies could constitute a violation of international humanitarian law."
