One person was killed and others were injured in an air strike launched by the Israeli occupation army on Tuesday, targeting a vehicle in the town of Rashkananiyeh in the Tyre district, southern Lebanon.

The Israeli army claimed that the target was the commander of the naval forces in Hezbollah's Radwan unit, Khader Hashem. A statement said that "Hashem joined the ranks of Hezbollah two decades ago and held a series of positions. As part of his job in commanding the naval forces in the Radwan unit, he played a major role in transferring combat equipment via maritime domains to Hezbollah, and in planning to carry out Hezbollah operations via maritime domains against the State of Israel and its citizens, even during the ceasefire."

The Lebanese National News Agency said, "An enemy drone launched a raid on the area located in Rashkananiyeh, in the Tyre district," adding shortly after that, "The raid carried out by an Israeli drone some time ago targeted a car in the town of Rashkananiyeh in the Tyre district, which led to injuries."

After that, she confirmed that "the car that was targeted by an Israeli drone in the town of Rashkananiyeh in Tyre District was parked next to a house in the town, and it led to the death of a martyr."

In turn, the Civil Defense in southern Lebanon confirmed, "A person was martyred when an Israeli drone targeted a car in the town of Rashkananiyeh."

The Lebanese Ministry of Health later confirmed that the Israeli attack resulted in the death of one person.

The Israeli Army Radio reported that "the Air Force raided a car in the village of Rashkananiyeh in southern Lebanon, in the Qana area near Tyre, about 10 km from the border with Israel."

The Israeli Army Radio quoted an Israeli official as saying that "Israel eliminated a 'saboteur' from Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, who was a central figure in the Radwan Unit," affiliated with Hezbollah.
